Overview
Take a trip to Malmo on your Sweden Vacation
Malmo is Sweden's third-largest city, distinct from its more prominent counterparts, Stockholm and Gothenburg. Gamla Staden, the old town, lies at the heart of its appeal as a historical haven of cobblestone streets and half-timbered houses. Stortorget, dating back to 1540, and Sodergatan are two bustling main squares with countless shops, cafes, and cultural delights showcasing Malmo's dynamic spirit.
Kockska Huset is one of the most impressive buildings in Malmo's Old Town, constructed in 1522, comprising two stately buildings dominating the northwest corner of Stortorget. Malmo witnessed a cosmopolitan change in the late 1990s, marked by a surge in contemporary architecture and the revitalization of waterfront areas, transforming the cityscape into a dynamic and modern urban hub. Witness this transformation at Vastra Hamnen, the reimagined waterfront featuring the iconic Turning Torso, a futuristic, twisting skyscraper proudly claiming the title of Scandinavia's tallest building since its completion in 2005.
Delving into Gamla Vaster, an enclave of tranquillity with galleries, design shops, and refined eateries, will immerse you in the city's oldest architecture, telling tales of Malmo's bygone eras. Enjoy the liveliness of Mollevangstorget, a bustling open-air market on weekends, surrounded by a vibrant neighbourhood offering diverse Asian and Middle Eastern shops, restaurants, and grocery stores, enticing locals and visitors with its affordable nightlife, moderately priced bars, and eclectic dining options.

The Festes Majors are summer festivals held in the villages of Andorra. Each festival is unique to the village, with its own distinct style.
The Pyrenean Mountain scenery and tax-free shopping are two of my favourite things about travelling to Andorra.
I love learning about Nicaragua's culture and experiencing its Spanish influence in some cities. I was only there for five days, but I'll never forget how delicious the food was and how welcoming and extremely polite the people were.
The Day of the Dead in Guatemala is a great local tradition where people gather to fly giant, intricately decorated kites to honour the dead.
The colourful Spanish architecture, the beautiful scenery, particularly the stunning lakes, and the Mayan ruins are what I love most about Guatemala!
