Standing approximately 2.100 meters above sea level, Mount Pilatus is one of the highest peaks in the Lucerne region. There are several ways to reach the summit: by gondola and funicular from Kriens or by cogwheel railway from Alpnachstad - the steepest in the world with a maximum gradient of about 48 percent. The views of Lake Lucerne and the Alps are truly spectacular. Return to Lucerne. The afternoon is free to explore on your own.
