Discover Dubai's Dazzling Heights

Among the must see things in United Arab Emirates, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai stands as an emblem of architectural prowess and ambition. This iconic skyscraper, the tallest in the world, offers breathtaking views that stretch from desert sands to the Persian Gulf. As you ascend to its observation deck, you're not just looking out over a city but gazing into the future.

Beyond its dazzling heights, Dubai is a shopper's paradise. The Dubai Mall is more than just a place to shop; it's a world of entertainment, featuring an indoor aquarium, an ice rink, and even a virtual reality park. For a taste of traditional commerce, the Gold and Spice Souks provide a sensory overload—with glittering gold and the aromatic spices wafting through the air.

Explore the Cultural Tapestry of Abu Dhabi

In the capital city of the UAE, Abu Dhabi, travellers can bask in the serene beauty of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. This architectural masterpiece, with its pristine white domes and intricate floral designs, offers a serene space for reflection amid bustling city life.

The cultural riches don’t stop there. Louvre Abu Dhabi, an art-lover’s dream, showcases artwork from around the globe, bridging civilizations and time under a radiant domed roof. As part of the best United Arab Emirates tours, a visit here promises a journey through humanity’s shared heritage.

Adventure Awaits in the Untamed Desert

The vast Arabian Desert is a landscape of timeless enchantment and thrilling adventures. Here, the sun-drenched dunes call to those with a spirit of adventure. Whether it's dune bashing in a robust 4x4 or sandboarding down the slopes, the desert is alive with possibilities.

Nights beneath a blanket of stars reveal another side of the desert. Experience Bedouin hospitality with a traditional barbecue, henna painting, and captivating performances under the night sky—an essential component of unforgettable United Arab Emirates vacations.

Indulge in Ras Al Khaimah’s Serenity

For those seeking tranquillity, Ras Al Khaimah offers a refreshing retreat from the hustle. The emirate's natural beauty—a blend of terracotta deserts, white sandy beaches, and the rugged peaks of the Hajar Mountains—provides a picturesque backdrop for relaxation.

Delve into the past with a visit to Dhayah Fort, a historic site offering panoramic views and stories from battles long past. Coupled with its therapeutic hot springs, Ras Al Khaimah ensures your tour is as rejuvenating as it is culturally enriching.

The Culinary Journey of the Emirates

No journey is complete without indulging in the rich tapestry of Emirati cuisine. From sumptuous shawarma to rich harees, the flavours are as diverse as the landscape. The bustling streets offer local delights that tempt the palate—each dish a testament to the country’s rich culinary heritage.

In the local markets, fresh dates, spices, and traditional pastries provide both a treat for the senses and a tangible connection to the cultural mosaic of the region.

The United Arab Emirates, a land of contrasts and harmonies, promises a journey that satisfies both the thrill-seeker and the soul-searcher. Whether you're scaling the peaks of architectural wonder or delving into the whispering winds of the desert, this nation invites you to explore its myriad faces and create your own story within its borders. For me, the best months are November to April. Anything in between that is too unbearably hot. Temperatures commonly reaching 50 degrees and higher are so unpleasant and even in Dubai, the little bit of humidity can make them dangerous. This is why even bus shelters on the streets are air conditioned, and very few people are actually outside during the daylight hours.

Directly opposite of Dubai, on the eastern Golf of Oman, in the Emirate of Sharjah, lies Khor Fakkan. This beautiful little gem has mountains, clear blue water with white sand beaches and coral reefs. Shark Island, right off the Coast of Khor Fakkan, has some of the best snorkeling in the UAE.

For that Instagram shot, nothing beats the symbol for the Emirates that is the Burj al Arab hotel in Dubai. This is generally one of the most asked after spots, and where people can get the best photos. In reality, from the ground it is lovely, however, photos from the air on a helicopter pass show just how amazing this structure is and the effort that went into the world's only 7 Star hotel.

I always recommend that people go to the Camel races on Fridays, at Al Mormoon Race Track. Over the start line, there is a overhead walkway where you can watch the camels line up for their heats. As there is no gambling in the UAE, here the winners are the camels rather than the owners, and the camels are awarded the gifts.
