The Urban Marvels of Dubai
Dubai’s skyline is a marvel in itself, with the towering Burj Khalifa piercing the sky like a needle threaded with ambition. A visit to the iconic tower is often highlighted in the best vacation packages to Asia. Experience the exceptional panoramic view from its observation decks, where the city unfurls beneath you in an impressive sprawl of architectural wonders.
Beyond its glittering facades, Dubai’s soul resides in its bustling souks. The Gold Souk, with its dazzling displays of the finest jewellery, and the aromatic Spice Souk are must-visits. These traditional marketplaces offer an authentic glimpse into the region’s trading legacy.
Rich Heritage and Culture in Abu Dhabi
In contrast to the cosmopolitan vibe of Dubai, Abu Dhabi invites you into a world steeped in culture and history. The city is home to the resplendent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, a masterpiece of Islamic architecture adorned with marble and gold. It’s a serene oasis amidst the urban vibrancy, offering a moment of reflection.
The Louvre Abu Dhabi, housed in a building as striking as its contents, presents an unparalleled collection of artwork from around the globe, making it an essential stop in tours of United Arab Emirates. Adventures in the Arabian Desert
No journey to the UAE is complete without an expedition into the awe-inspiring Arabian desert. Whether on a dune bashing adventure or a tranquil camel trek at sunrise, the desert reveals its mystique with every shifting dune under the vast sky.

Alongside its urban and desert attractions, the UAE’s coastline provides a refreshing counterpart with pristine beaches and azure waters. Meanwhile, the lush Hajar Mountains in Fujairah provide a scenic backdrop for travellers seeking natural beauty and solitude.
Ras Al Khaimah, with its rich landscapes and historical roots, beckons with attractions like the National Museum and the ancient forts scattered across its terrain. It’s a location that complements the UAE’s rich tapestry, ensuring that tours of United Arab Emirates are deeply rewarding.

The UAE's culinary scene is as diverse as its landscapes. From sumptuous street food to world-class dining experiences, the range of flavours available caters to every palate. Savor a blend of Middle Eastern spices and global cuisines, reflecting the country’s cosmopolitan makeup. Popular dishes include shawarma, falafel, and the comforting machbous, an aromatic rice dish infused with saffron and spices.

For me, the best months are November to April. Anything in between that is too unbearably hot. Temperatures commonly reaching 50 degrees and higher are so unpleasant and even in Dubai, the little bit of humidity can make them dangerous. This is why even bus shelters on the streets are air conditioned, and very few people are actually outside during the daylight hours.
Directly opposite of Dubai, on the eastern Golf of Oman, in the Emirate of Sharjah, lies Khor Fakkan. This beautiful little gem has mountains, clear blue water with white sand beaches and coral reefs. Shark Island, right off the Coast of Khor Fakkan, has some of the best snorkeling in the UAE.
For that Instagram shot, nothing beats the symbol for the Emirates that is the Burj al Arab hotel in Dubai. This is generally one of the most asked after spots, and where people can get the best photos. In reality, from the ground it is lovely, however, photos from the air on a helicopter pass show just how amazing this structure is and the effort that went into the world's only 7 Star hotel.
I always recommend that people go to the Camel races on Fridays, at Al Mormoon Race Track. Over the start line, there is a overhead walkway where you can watch the camels line up for their heats. As there is no gambling in the UAE, here the winners are the camels rather than the owners, and the camels are awarded the gifts.
Eid Al-Fitr or Eid Al-Adha are celebrated with large gatherings and public events. These are always accompanied by smiling, happy people with loads of new foods to try and sample. As the UAE has over 150 varieties of dates, and it seems that every single kind is brought out to celebrations and they are delicious!!
