Nestled along the equator and embracing both the Pacific coastline and the Andes Mountains, Ecuador is a traveller's dream. It offers a rich tapestry of environments, from bustling cities to serene highlands and lush rainforests. For those craving distinctive private experiences in Ecuador, this vibrant nation is a treasure trove of adventures waiting to be explored.

The Magnificent Andes

Begin your journey with Ecuador private tours through the breathtaking Andes. The central highlands boast not only stunning vistas of cascading mountains but also a deep cultural heritage. Quito, the nation’s capital, stands as a picturesque colonial city brimming with history. Here, cobblestone streets lead you past well-preserved churches and bustling markets where artisans showcase traditional crafts.

Venture further with private experiences in Ecuador to the majestic Cotopaxi National Park, where the towering Cotopaxi Volcano, one of the highest active volcanoes in the world, provides intrepid adventurers an unmatched hiking and wildlife viewing experience. You'll be captivated by the delicate dance of the Andean condor in its natural habitat.

The Enchanting Amazon

No trip would be complete without delving into the heart of Ecuador's portion of the Amazon rainforest. This biodiversity hotspot offers an immersive experience through Ecuador vacation packages that emphasize sustainable tourism. Traverse the dense jungle canopy and meet its diverse wildlife, from mischievous squirrel monkeys to vivid toucans. Communities like the Huaorani offer cultural insights, sharing their unique ways of living in harmony with nature.

Galápagos Islands: Nature's Masterpiece

The Galápagos Islands are synonymous with evolution and are a compulsory stop for those seeking private experiences in Ecuador. These volcanic islands present an extraordinary living museum, where giant tortoises amble peacefully and fearless sea lions bask in the equatorial sun. Private excursions allow travelers an intimate discovery of the islands' natural wonders, from snorkeling with marine iguanas to exploring lava formations that whisper the tales of Earth’s geological past.

Coastal Charms

Ecuador's coastline is dotted with hidden gems perfect for exploration. A private tour of the quaint town of Montañita reveals a surfer's paradise, while further north, the striking beaches of Esmeraldas offer a peaceful retreat where the ocean’s rhythm lulls you into tranquility. Here, travellers can indulge in fresh seafood delights that tantalize the palate, capturing the ocean's essence in every bite.

Culinary Delights

Explore Ecuador’s culinary scene, a vibrant blend of textures and flavours drawn from its diverse landscapes. In cities like Guayaquil, be sure to try encebollado, a hearty fish stew that epitomizes coastal cuisine. Moving inland, the highlands offer hornado, a traditional roasted pork dish celebrated during festivities, capturing the soul of Andean culinary tradition.

Practical Tips for Travellers

  • Travel Season: The optimal time to visit across various regions is during the drier months from June to September, although the diverse geography ensures Ecuador is a year-round destination.
  • Health & Safety: Opt for bottled water in rural areas and consult local health guidelines before trekking into remote regions, especially the Amazon.
  • Culture & Customs: Politeness and respect for local traditions go a long way. Learning a few greetings in Spanish can enhance your interactions.

Embarking on Ecuador private tours is not just about exploring a destination; it's about immersing oneself in experiences that resonate long after the journey ends. Whether you're captivated by the majestic peaks of the Andes, the serene calls of the Amazon, or the unparalleled wildlife encounters of the Galápagos, Ecuador promises private adventures that ignite the soul and inspire a deeper curiosity about our world. We have used Goway Travel for previous trips and have been very happy with their excellent service. Our last trip to New Zealand and Australia was no exception. Our agent, Lori Mazzono, got tuned into the sort of trip we were hoping to have immediately. The various booking she provided were, without exception, exceptional and exactly what we envisioned, We really don't think we would have changed anything. tBruce Belshaw

Mary was absolutely fantastic to work with. She was incredibly responsive and quick to assist with every update and change my clients made throughout the planning process. Her expertise was invaluable, from recommending the perfect resorts to advising on the best way to travel between the islands. My clients loved every moment of their trip, especially their resort stays and overwater bungalow experiences. As this was their honeymoon, creating a seamless and memorable journey was so important, and Mary exceeded expectations. They rated their experience a 5 out of 5 and could not have been happier. Thank you, Mary, for your outstanding support and attention to detail. I truly appreciated your partnership and would not hesitate to work with you again for future South Pacific Island bookings. We had a wonderful trip to Peru for 11 days organized by Goway. Overall the trip was great, we loved our guides throughout, some of the hotels were truly amazing and it was helpful having everything organized and having a point person to ask questions and check in while we were there. Some main highlights were: 1) Machu Picchu- I am so glad we did two tours, because the weather was perfect for views, but also had an opportunity to see Machu Picchu more in depth with a knowledgeable and friendly guide and had a little extra time in Aguas Calientes to shop, explore and even visit the butterfly garden and do some birdwatching. 2) Cusco especially the Hotel Aranwa Cusco. The hotel was incredible, excellent service, modern updates, it was a true highlight of the trip. Cusco itself was also a highlight, loved our half day tour, plus getting ideas for our guide on what else to see in our free time and where to eat. 3) Lima- Aloft Miraflores was another highlight, very modern, nice pool and the best breakfast out of the hotels we stayed in. The location in Miraflores was also perfect, as there were plenty of restaurants, cafes and attractions nearby. 4) Everyone at Condor was great, from ensuring we had all our documents, tickets and itinerary to even stepping in to get water and agua Florida when we were feeling the altitude sickness the first hours in Cusco. Most of our rides and transfers were very comfortable and made the trip run smooth through all the different locations. I have been telling my friends and family how wonderful the experience with Goway has been for our Peru adventure. Eric Paul Schatzel

We used Goway on our 32 day vacation to New Zealand and Australia. The person I worked with on planning the vacation was really helpful. The way they let you plan a vacation allows for lots of flexibility. You don't have to go with one tour the whole time. We saw a lot and they tailored it to what we were interested in. All the hotels were great and in good locations. Most of the tours were good but we would have preferred to spend a little more time exploring on our own in Sydney. The only thing we were not happy with is the customer service while we were there. Hard to get a hold of and some of the instructions were not clear/ accurate. That was a little stressful. Good value for the money. Dawn Krafft Hawkins
