The Sepik River Region is a vast grassland reserve. The Sepik River is one of the great rivers in the world and the longest in the country. It flows through swamplands, mountains and rainforests and stretches 1130 kilometres/700 miles from the mountains to the sea to be experienced on Papua New Guinea tours.
In this region are many villages that exist along the river. On Papua New Guinea tours, you will see beautiful longhouses called “Tambaran” (spirit houses) and learn about the diverse and exotic cultures that live here. The locals who live along the Sepik River rely highly on the river for travel (transportation), water and food.
There are no roads in this region so the Sepik River is the only means of transportation but a great way for travellers to experience the local life of the region on travel to Papua New Giunea. There are two sleepy beachside towns, Wewak and Vanimo which are also the capital cities of the province and which offer stretches of white sand beaches plus excellent diving and surfing. The local tribes produce magnificent woodcarvings and clay pottery.

I love Malaysia's delicious food. The country is also incredibly affordable, and visitors' easy access to public transit is a great way for them to experience local life.
