It is a goal and dream for many parents to see their kids pursue a formal education and all the benefits that path rewards. Additionally, many want to ensure that their children experience the “classroom of travel” where so many equally important life lessons can be learned – many that could never be replicated in a bricks and mortar classroom setting. Each summer, funds are “invested” in summer camps to both educate and occupy kids on their extended mid-year break. Money spent on camps could match or even exceed those of travel for the entire family. As such, Goway recommends you take a second look at a way to "educate" your kids this summer, by enrolling in the “classroom of travel”. No doubt there will be lots of learning for the adults too! Central and South America is a great destination to begin with.

From close encounter experiences with wildlife in the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador, to nature exploration in Costa Rica, or snorkelling on the world’s second largest barrier reef in the world off the coast of Belize, educational travel in Central and South America is available in abundance!

Visit local communities in Peru or Ecuador, trek to Machu Picchu, visit the largest waterfalls in the world – Iguassu Falls, or journey into the heart of the Amazon in Brazil. On these adventures, the full family can interact and rub shoulders with ancient cultures, including Incan and Mayan, as well as the more modern regional ones.
