It's no coincidence that many of the world's greatest storytellers are globetrotters. Stories inspire travel, and travel inspires stories—both bound only by the limits of your imagination.
Goway is celebrating our 55th anniversary by commemorating your stories and travels at our first-ever Goway Micro Film Festival. Submit your most inspiring 55-second travel video, captured through your lens and by your imagination, to win up to USD $55,000 in prizes.
Our panel of acclaimed creators, filmmakers, and industry professionals will evaluate submissions from amateur and professional creators. The judges will choose the most inspiring, creative, and impactful micro films from both the Everyday Globetrotter and Professional Creator categories. You also have the chance to win the Viewer's Choice category in a public vote.
Contest Rules & Prizes
The Everyday Globetrotter category is for globetrotters who always have their smartphones ready to capture their adventures. Submit your 55-second micro film, no special gear or experience required, for the chance to win the top prize of a tailor-made trip with Goway valued at USD $10,000.
The Professional Creator category is an elite category for creators and filmmakers who bring the best in visual storytelling. Use your creative vision and your pro gear to showcase your skills in just 55 seconds and compete against the best in the United States and Canada for a shot at big prizes, including a tailor-made trip with Goway valued at $10,000, a package of elite camera gear valued at USD $2,000, and an interview feature in Globetrotting Magazine.
Travel credits of USD $7,000 will also be awarded to the best micro film on each continent in all categories.
Submit your micro film by July 31, 2025, to qualify for the Viewer's Choice early bird deadline. The final deadline for all submissions is August 15, 2025.
All winners will be announced and recognized at a virtual event in September 2025, with exclusive invitations to our Toronto and LA events to be announced.

Born to two parents who met travelling, Sael has always wanted to travel the world. Sael has hiked the Inca Trail in Peru, visited blue-footed boobies on the Galapagos Islands, stood on both hemispheres of the equator in Ecuador, climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge, hiked the base of Uluru, surfed Pacific Ocean waves in Mexico, and skydived over the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns. Meeting new people and sharing stories are some of Sael's favourite parts of travelling, and he hopes he can help ignite this passion for discovery in others.
