Melbourne: Best of Victoria Tour

2 Days
Prices From:
US$ 554

Embark on a small group tour that showcases the highlights of the Australian state of Victoria. Beginning in Melbourne, you’ll journey along the Great Ocean Road to see the Twelve Apostles and Great Otway National Park before exploring the picturesque coastline of Mornington Peninsula and seeing the Little Penguin Parade on Phillip Island.

This 2-day small group Australia vacation takes you outside Melbourne to experience Victoria’s most popular sights.

Your trip to Australia begins in Melbourne where you’ll join your small group tour. You’ll then begin your journey along the Great Ocean Road, one of the most picturesque drives in all of Australia. First stop is the Twelve Apostles, the breathtaking rocky outcrops along the coast. Continue to Port Campbell, where you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch, and then reach the Great Ocean Road Ecolodge in the Great Otway National Park. Here, you’ll journey through an ancient eucalyptus forest and support local conservation efforts. Head on to Apollo Bay and finally arrive in Queenscliff for the evening.

The next day, board the Searoad Ferry and cross Port Phillip Bay to Sorrento, a sandstone village that was the first settlement in Victoria. You’ll begin your journey along the famous Mornington Peninsula, starting with a stop at the world-famous hot springs, where you can soak in the mineral-rich waters. Continue to the lighthouse at Cape Schanck before riding the state-of-the-art gondola up Arthur’s Seat to enjoy some stunning views across the bay. If the sky is clear, you might even be able to spot Melbourne in the distance. After lunch, head to the Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, where you can help feed kangaroos and wallabies and hug a koala. Your final stop is Phillip Island, home to the adorable Little Penguin Parade that takes place each sundown and finds hundreds of pint-sized Little Penguins waddling onto land from the ocean. At day’s end, return to Melbourne to continue your onward journey.

This Australia vacation from Melbourne is a great add-on to a longer trip to Australia.
