Lying on the north bank of the Yangtze River, the city of Yichang is located in the middle of the country on a China, vacation and acts as the main transportation centre linking China’s east and west. It is situated amongst natural resources and beautiful scenery derived from mountains, waterfalls, caves, and stone forests. Natural reserves in and around Yichang include Chaibuxi National Forest Park and Houhe Natural Reserve.
Between the Yangtze River running through the city and the Three Gorges, considered one the best natural landscapes of China, Yichang is abundant with water resources. The man-made wonder, The Three Gorges Dam Project, is located on the Xiling Gorge and is the world’s largest electricity-generating plant which will certainly impress on China tours.
Historically, Yichang can be traced back 4000 years and today houses some historical relics such as Qu Yuan Hometown, Zhaojun Residence and Ancient Battle Relics of the Three Kingdom Period. Some famous battles took place in this ancient city, and it was the birthplace of several historic prominent figures.
Known for its local products such as oranges, persimmons, Chinese gooseberries, and tea, Yichang is a delightful place to find restaurants, cafes and street stalls, all offering local specialties. Yichang is truly a beautiful city to enjoy all of nature’s offerings on China travel packages.

It is very enjoyable to travel in China by high-speed train, but you should avoid travelling during the National Holidays from October 1 to 7 and from May 1 to 4, as they get extra busy.
Jinxian Road in Shanghai is a small road but full of superb, Michelin-recognized restaurants. I highly recommend visiting here on your travels to China.
China's many beautiful natural sights and rich cultural areas are what I love most about visiting. Some of my personal favourites are Yunnan's Shangri-La, Xinjiang, Zhangjiajie, and the 5 Great Mountains.

My husband, Keith, and I dreamed of visiting China for more than 30 years and Leo helped make that dream an unforgettable blessing. He was more than a tour guide. He was a wonderful teacher, a caring soul, and a blessing from God.
His knowledge of Chinese history and culture was remarkable from the terra-cotta warriors to the ANCIENT city wall, the Monastery, and the local art gallery, Leo brought every experience to life. This trip was the 9 day all Ireland tour which covered both north & south Ireland. The tour was operated by Rabbies tours whom we used in Scotland and the 16 passenger van only had 6 passengers including us.Other than a couple of days the weather was prety good although the wind did get a bit wild. The pub food was delicious & i got a taste for real Guiness. We spent a few extra days in Dublin and found it very expensive, the excange rate didn't help. Our travel consultant Jaqueline personalised the trip and was very helpful. George CroomeWe were able to see the perfect amount of sites during our nearly 3 weeks in Australia.
