Multi Day Tour

Tokyo to Shizuoka with Mt. Fuji Views

Meet your tour group and begin the tour with a bullet train journey from Tokyo Station to Mishima Station. Upon arrival at Mishima Station, transfer to the Hokusai Special Train to Fujinomiya Station and enjoy spectacular views of Mt. Fuji. The train is named after Katsushika Hokusai, who was famous for his ukiyo-e woodblock prints, including The Great Wave off Kanagawa, perhaps his most iconic work. Enjoy photo stops and slow driving at spots depicted in his prints, and an onboard talk will introduce his life and artistic legacy. Then visit the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Centre in Shizuoka to gain a deeper understanding of Mt. Fuji's rich history, spiritual significance, and cultural importance through engaging exhibits and displays. Continue to Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine, the spiritual heart of Mt. Fuji worship. As the head shrine of all Sengen shrines across Japan, it has long been revered for its role in appeasing Mt. Fuji's eruptions. Next, visit Shiraito Falls and Otodome Falls, where crystal-clear snowmelt from Mt. Fuji cascades into two strikingly different yet equally captivating waterfalls. After lunch, visit a farm that cultivates Japan's world-renowned wasabi, and enjoy a hands-on experience grating and tasting Mazuma wasabi, regarded as the finest variety in Japan. Drop off at Mishima Station after the tour and walk to your hotel adjacent to the station.

Escort assistance to Mishima Station in the morning to board the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Kyoto. Arrive in Kyoto in the early afternoon and set out on an afternoon walking tour. Begin with a Japanese Sweets Making Experience, where, under the guidance of an artisan, you’ll create two traditional Japanese sweets: a sakura-shaped nerikiri and a seasonal kinton. Then visit Sanjusangendo Temple, renowned for its impressive wooden hall and more than 1,000 life-sized statues of Buddhist deities. Finally, proceed to the hilltop Kiyomizudera Temple and admire panoramic views of Kyoto from its iconic wooden veranda. You may also wish to sample a few drops from the Otowa Waterfall, which flows beneath the main hall and is believed to grant wishes to those who drink from it. Check in to your hotel after the tour.

Kyoto and Nara Excursion

Take a full day tour to explore some of Kyoto and Nara's most famous sites. Visit Nijo Castle, noted for its gorgeous interiors and its 'squeaky' nightingale floors which alerted residents to unwanted intruders (if Nijo Castle is closed, visit Ryoanji Temple instead). Continue to Kinkakuji Temple, famous for its Golden Pavilion covered entirely in thin layers of pure gold as well as for its exquisite Japanese gardens and koi ponds. Afterwards, visit Kyoto's Imperial Palace and gain exclusive access to the former residence of the Emperor of Japan (if the Palace is closed, visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead). After a western-style lunch, travel by bus to Nara, the first permanent capital of Japan. Visit the ancient Todaiji Temple and its massive Great Buddha (the largest bronze Buddha in Japan). You will also see the colorful Kasuga Taisha Shrine with 3,000 lanterns. This Shinto shrine is considered one of Japan's "Three Great Shrines". Also visit Nara Park, affectionately called "Deer Park" because of the friendly, free-roaming deer that inhabit it. Return to Kyoto in the evening.

Leaving from Kyoto early this morning travel to Hiroshima by Shinkansen train. The journey takes approximately two hours. Arrive at the JR Hiroshima station and walk to the Granvia Hotel, directly connected to Hiroshima Station, to meet your tour group. Here, you will have the opportunity to take in one of the three most renowned views in Japan, especially at high tide when the shrine appears to be floating magically on top of the sea! Break for lunch (not included) and enjoy some time to relax on your own. Continue on to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Museum, dedicated to promoting peace around the world. Walk around and reflect on human history through the poignant portrayals of Hiroshima's darkest hours. See the Atomic Bomb Dome, a sobering reminder of World War II and an inspiring symbol of peace. Suzzette and her team provided exceptional support throughout our year‑long planning process for our Bali group. Despite multiple changes, updates, and last‑minute cancellations, she remained organized, responsive, and solution‑focused. Asia Trails Indonesia delivered a seamless experience from arrival to departure, and our guides, Dayu and Adit, were outstanding; prompt, knowledgeable, and attentive to every detail. The coordination across multiple departure cities, the curated excursions, and the overall flow of the itinerary were executed beautifully. My group thoroughly enjoyed the trip and is already asking about returning. I highly recommend Suzzette as a group coordinator for her professionalism, dedication, and high‑quality service.Anchored Memories Travel

Mike K. graciously provided us with a perfect itinerary, offering us flexible high quality options for our trip. We added in a few complex details and he maneuvered around them creating smooth transitions. Planning an overseas 11 day trip can be overwhelming and Mike made everything feel easy. Goway staff was available to us throughout our entire trip to Costa Rica. Their involvement was seamless and surprisingly smooth between them and all of our hotels and tours. We have been totally impressed with their involvement with our travel agent and their complete resolution of the only problem we had during the 2 different international trips that we have taken.Diana McCrory

Thank you to Goway for a great and enjoyable 7 day tour in China, for our Canadian group of 14! Very special thanks to the local guides in Shanghai, Xi’an and Beijing ( Richard, Richard and James) who were second to none! Each was a knowledgeable ambassador for their home city, working hard to ensure our enjoyment and comfort, and to showcase the beauty of each area and its current and historical sites. They very kindly and patiently assisted everyone, and especially accommodated 2 of our group who encountered unexpected wellness challenges. The local bus drivers for our group were experts too, keeping us on time and safe on the roads and highways. Hotels were beautiful, welcoming, well located and appointed, quiet, comfortable and clean. Additional travel arrangements by air and high speed train went off without a hitch. KATHLEEN LLOYD

This was the first time we used Goway Travel and Brooke Theron was absolutely the best to deal with. Our safari in Africa was fabulous and we were able to have all four questions answered before we left. It was a trip to remember and we would recommend both Brooke and Goway to other who are looking for a great experience. Thanks Brooke and Goway.Joyce Robinson

We decided to go to France for 3 weeks in September and knew we needed help planning the trip (we made this decision in August so a very short time frame. We had traveled with Goway a few years ago and were hoping they could help. Our specialist, Farnaz Bagheri, was fantastic, she listened to what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go. She literally arranged everything with her French partners. The guides and drivers were wonderful the accommodations were excellent. Communication was easy from the first discussion to the time we got home. Farnaz planned for us an exceptional trip in a very short time frame. Promise next trip we will contact Goway much earlier. Thanks againSue Blake

What do I love about Japan? In a word - EVERYTHING. The incredible contrast that Japan offers - new/innovative vs old/traditional, the warm and welcoming people, the incredible rich culture, the culinary wonders awaiting around every corner, the cleanliness, efficiency and safety. It's one of the best places to visit in Asia in my opinion.
