Overview
Take a trip to The Arctic Circle your Finland Vacation
An Arctic adventure in Finland is concentrated in its northernmost region, Finnish Lapland, most of which lies above the Arctic Circle. Home to more reindeer than people, Lapland's untouched beauty and clean air is not a surprise. It is home to the only Indigenous people in the EU, the Sami, and is the unofficial headquarters of Santa Claus.
Lapland is a top destination for winter activities and Aurora Borealis hunting. You can watch the Midnight Sun in summer and say goodbye to the sun for an entire day in the winter. Visit Rovaniemi, the home of Santa Claus and a hub for snow-tastic activities, settle into warm igloos or log cabins in Kemi, Yllas, Vuollikka, or Saariselka, and enjoy husky sledding, snowmobiling, mountain biking, or wilderness hiking depending on season. The best time to visit Finnish Lapland is from September to March or April. The most convenient and affordable way to get to Finnish Lapland is by taking a flight into Rovaniemi.

I love learning about Nicaragua's culture and experiencing its Spanish influence in some cities. I was only there for five days, but I'll never forget how delicious the food was and how welcoming and extremely polite the people were.
The Day of the Dead in Guatemala is a great local tradition where people gather to fly giant, intricately decorated kites to honour the dead.
The colourful Spanish architecture, the beautiful scenery, particularly the stunning lakes, and the Mayan ruins are what I love most about Guatemala!
Nicaragua is well known for its dramatic volcanic landscapes, lakes, rainforests, and colonial cities. I love how friendly the people are and how delicious the food is! There is always something fun to do in Nicaragua!
Festival de Los Farolitos is an annual nighttime festival held every September in the town of Ataco, where the streets, houses, and plazas are illuminated with thousands of handmade lanterns (farolitos). Families craft them using colored paper, wood, calabash gourds, or jars, each with a candle inside. Although it's tied to the eve of the Virgin Mary’s birthday, it has evolved into a cultural celebration of community, light, creativity, and town pride.
