Colosseum Exploration

On this small day excursion, the Colosseum and Ancient Rome with Exclusive Arena Access, is the perfect way to explore Ancient Rome. This excursion gives you skip-the-line access into the Colosseum where you will step out onto the restricted arena floor. Visit the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum with an expert tour guide in a small group. After passing through security, you will walk through the Gladiators Gate to the Colosseum's exclusive arena floor and step out directly onto the same level where the gladiators would fight. It's an incredible perspective that is only possible for a limited number of visitors. From the restricted arena floor, you will also be up close to the Colosseum underground, having an unobstructed view of the fascinating dungeons where the shows were managed and coordinated. Once you have enjoyed exclusive access to the arena floor, your guide will lead you up to the second floor where you can enjoy the view from Caesar's balcony, hear amazing stories and anecdotes and get a better picture of what it all looked like thousands of years ago. After the visit to the Colosseum, you will walk towards another magnificent archaeological site, the nearby Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. The next stop is the Roman Forum, the political and commercial center of ancient Rome. Rome to Naples, Pompeii & Sorrento

Meet the Destination Italia assistant in Termini Station, (Via Marsala 29 in front of the pharmacy, about 8:30 a.m. - OPTIONAL private transfer could be provided from hotels in Rome from 7:00 to 7:45 a.m) and take the high speed train to Naples. Upon arrival in Naples, our expert local assistant meets you at Naples train station in front of the fountain inside the station (on the left with the back to the platforms) and you will proceed to Pompeii for the guided tour of the archaeological excavations. This ancient Roman city was destroyed when Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD and buried it, preserving it under a sea of volcanic ash for nearly 1700 years. At the end of the visit transfer to Sorrento, famous for its picturesque old town centre and characteristic fisherman's village of Marina Grande, one of the most authentic treasures of the city. A local assistant welcomes you at hotel during the check-in. and gives you all the information for Capri experience and the following transfer and activities.

Breakfast in the hotel and departure for the port, according to the details provided. Sail to Capri by traditional Gozzo Sorrentino. Enjoy a boat trip around the island and the possibility to swim into its crystal-clear waters or visit the Blue Grotto (optional entrance, weather permitting). Once landed on the island, you will continue by minibus to discover it and reach the legendary Piazzetta, heart of the island. Enjoy some free time to explore Capri at your own pace.
