Take a trip to La Sagrada Familia on your Spain Vacation
One of Barcelona's most famous landmarks, La Sagrada Familia is a masterpiece by famed architect Antoni Gaudi, whose goal for the church was to teach people about Catholicism through architecture. Under construction since 1882, La Sagrada Familia is being developed according to the instructions left by Gaudi, who knew he would not live to see it finished. The inside of the church was consecrated by Pope Benedict XVI in 2010.
La Sagrada Familia's striking silhouette can be admired from various vantage points in Barcelona. Each side of the church looks like a completely different structure. There are three different facades, each telling a different part of Christ's story. Its four towers represent the 12 Apostles, and the intricately carved facades at the base depict the life of Christ, from birth to death and then resurrection. Inside the church are white stone columns and stunning stained-glass windows that let in prismatic strands of light. Hats aren't permitted inside the church, shoulders need to be covered, and skirts must hit mid-thigh at minimum.

If you are looking for the best time to visit, I would recommend Spring and early Fall. The weather wont be too hot and you will be avoiding the peak season where not only does the temperature rise, but there are lots of crowds.
Be wary that lunch and dinner are taken very late compared to North America! And don't expect to just pop into the shops around midday - most of them shut for a siesta break!
Most people do not know that most regions of Spain have their own language and traditions. This makes visiting Spain such a unique experience - everywhere you go is like visiting a completely new country

SandraOverall, the hotel and tours were amazing. We had issues with communicating with the driver. At times I was asked where, I was gone. The local company handled the situation and there were minor issues after. I would recommend a local English-speaking guide every day. My clients loved the trip. The area we stayed in had many restaurants and local markets nearby. I recommend the cooking class, flamenco dance show, wine tasting and taps tour, and the city tour. Jolynn TizenoAni M was absolutely amazing to work with! I actually chose Goway for our group trip because of her recommendations. She was the only agent who took the time to explain that we really needed to split our travels into two separate trips if we wanted to experience everything on our wish list, and I really appreciated her honesty and guidance.
Throughout the planning process, Ani was incredibly helpful and answered ALL of my questions, even when I asked the same ones more than once! She was patient, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. I enjoyed working with her and her team so much that I already have another group trip planned with her, and I expect we'll be planning another one soon!
The guides during our Scotland trip were wonderful as well. Ian Short was the BEST! He was professional, knowledgeable, and made sure everything ran smoothly so we could simply enjoy the experience. He even worked in sightseeing stops we didn't know we needed to see, and those little extras made the trip even better.

Everything was wonderful. Everything went smoothly. The individual tours were wonderful and all the guides were exceptional. A lot of traveling-the flight was very good on Cathay Pacific would highly recommend their airline seats were comfortable and spaced well. Being on an airplane for 16 hours sucks in general, but other than being a little sore from being stuck in one place all was good.
