As an East African mother of a boy and a girl, I've always felt a profound responsibility to share the beauty, diversity, and soul of my home, Africa! This land of contrasting landscapes, wildlife, and cultures deserves to be seen, understood and protected. Favourite Travel Memory

In 2015, while Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda, we walked in on the Silverback Gorilla mating with one of the young females in his group. And she had a young one with her the whole time! What was so fascinating was how gentle the Silverback was with the baby Gorilla, who kept interrupting them! The similarity to human beings was uncanny!
