Best Time to Visit
Experience Malawi's wonders year-round, with highlights in each season.
Malawi offers a variety of experiences throughout the year, making it a wonderful destination regardless of the season. However, the dry season from late April to October is often considered to be the best time to visit Malawi. The dry season offers pleasant temperatures, clear skies, and minimal rainfall. This is an ideal time for wildlife enthusiasts, as animals tend to gather around water sources, making it easier to spot them on safaris in national parks like Liwonde and Majete. The weather is perfect for hiking in the highlands and exploring the beautiful landscapes of the Great Rift Valley.
The wet season may not be the most popular time to visit, but it has its own charm. November and December bring refreshing rains that rejuvenate the landscape, resulting in lush greenery and blooming flowers. This is a great time for birdwatching as migratory birds flock to Malawi. However, some roads and remote areas may become less accessible due to heavy rainfall.
Malawi's freshwater gem, Lake Malawi, can be enjoyed year-round. Water sports, snorkelling, and relaxing on sandy beaches are perfect during the dry season. The water is warm and inviting, and it's a great place to unwind.

This trip was the 9 day all Ireland tour which covered both north & south Ireland. The tour was operated by Rabbies tours whom we used in Scotland and the 16 passenger van only had 6 passengers including us.Other than a couple of days the weather was prety good although the wind did get a bit wild. The pub food was delicious & i got a taste for real Guiness. We spent a few extra days in Dublin and found it very expensive, the excange rate didn't help.
