Best Time to Visit Romania
January, February and March are generally cold with snow on the higher ground. Museums and castles in smaller towns shut down or open only on weekends. Starting in April, temperatures warm up and the blossoms and flowers appear. May is notoriously wet. June is warm and pleasant. June through to August is when the weather is sunny but it can sometimes be oppressively hot and is when the locals head to the Black Sea Coast. It is also the time of festivals and concerts. Be aware that any place that isn’t geared toward tourists is going to be really slow with fewer people, and fewer museums and other places open. September and October are once again mild.
