Take a trip to Taj Mahal on your India Vacation
The Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The stunning marble mausoleum was built in 1632 by Mughal King Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Located in Agra and standing on the banks of Yamuna River, the Taj Mahal is a symbol of timeless love and one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture.
Instantly recognizable for its iconic arch and dome profile of white marble, the Taj Mahal changes colours throughout the day. It looks especially enchanting during sunrise and sunset, when the sunlight casts an enchanting glow upon its white facade. You can catch the reflection of the monument in the surrounding pools of the Charbagh gardens. The central feature is the mausoleum, housing the tombs of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal, and flanked by four minarets in each corner. Inside the Taj Mahal, the cenotaphs of Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan lie within a chamber decorated with an inlay of semi-precious stones. Entrance to the Taj Mahal is via three gates. Most hotels and hostels in Agra are located closer to the East Gate.

What I love most about visiting India is how alive everything feels. The colours, the food, the people. Every place has its own vibe and story. One moment you’re in a quiet temple, the next you’re in a bustling street market. It’s chaotic in the best way
My favourite drinks are aam panna, a traditional Indian summer drink made from raw mangoes, known for its refreshing taste and cooling properties, and mango lassi, the iconic Indian yogurt drink
